Custom rigs
Tell Eric what you play and what you want to spend. He builds it by hand, stress-tests it, and gets it to you ready to play (shipped desktop PCs: install the graphics card first, guide included).
Choose your class
Every PC Eric builds gets a class, set by its graphics card: the part that decides how games run. Pick the class that fits your screen and your games, or ask Eric and he'll suggest one.
Sample builds
Examples of what Eric builds in each class. They're not built yet and part prices change every day, so tap See today's price for the current cost, or ask for a quote. A quote is usually good for 48 hours, but part prices can change even before then: they're confirmed when Eric orders the parts, right after your deposit.
Three ways to start
Every build includes
- Hand assembly with clean cable work
- Tested for at least 2 days before it goes out: games, benchmarks and stress tests
- Every part's serial number on your bill, and numbered tamper seals
- An official Windows key, charged at the official price (or bring your own key), with drivers and updates installed
- 48 hours after it arrives to report a problem: Eric then arranges a repair, a replacement part or a return (if he confirms the fault, he pays the shipping to get it back to him)
- After that, manufacturer warranties, with Eric's help on claims for free
How it works
- 1
Ask for a quote
Your budget, your games, or your parts list.
- 2
Lock it in
Agree on the parts and the price, then pay a 25% deposit by Interac e-Transfer. Eric orders the parts.
- 3
Built and tested
When all the parts are in, Eric emails you to confirm (answer within 24 hours). Then it's assembled by hand and tested for at least 2 days.
- 4
Delivered
Pay the rest within 7 days, then it's hand-delivered free in Fort McMurray, or shipped, insured, anywhere in Canada (quoted for your city).
A PC ships only after the payment is deposited. For a big build, you may need to raise your bank's e-Transfer limit, or pay over a few days.
Changed your mind? Until the parts are opened, you get the deposit back minus the store's restocking fee (if any), the return shipping, and a $50 fee for Eric's time. Stores often take sealed parts back for free, so usually it's just the $50. A price increase you don't accept before ordering: full deposit back, no fees. Once the parts are opened, it's non-refundable. Details.
Extras
The build price covers the build. Add any of these when you ask for your quote:
- Programs and games pre-installed ($150): Eric installs the ones you pick, so it's ready to play the moment it arrives. Only programs and games you own or that are free.
- Performance tuning ($200) and overclocking ($50 an hour), at the same prices as the tuning service. Overclocking comes with no warranty whatsoever.
- In-home setup in Fort McMurray ($150).
In Fort McMurray?
Eric can deliver it by hand and set it all up at your place: PC, monitor, keyboard and mouse, with clean cable work. See in-home setup.
